Compared with xylitol, sorbitol, mannitol, maltitol and other functional sugar alcohols, It is characterized by low molecular weight, high osmotic pressure and low hygroscopicity. The results showed that erythritol and xylitol had an effect on the growth of oral Streptococcus.When the content of erythritol was 4%, the growth of Streptococcus mutans was reduced by 71%, the growth of other two Strep tococcus mutans was also reduced by 76% and 77% respectively, and the antibacterial effect was more obvious than xylitol; The formation of mutant Streptococcus biofilm decreased by 31.32% under the conditioof 4% bryoglycol.
